This 2.5 hour course explores Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Parkinson’s Disease at an introductory level.                                                                                                

Topics covered:

  • The mental, physical, and social impacts of chronic disease
  • The physiological changes that occur with COPD and PD
  • Strategies to assist clients with daily living
  • How the community worker can support client’s self-management efforts, maximize their health and promote independence

    This purchase includes:

    • Access to virtual facilitator-led COPD and Parkinson's Disease training for up to  200 staff (select the number of staff requiring training below)
    • Set up custom training dates and times just for your staff

    Training sessions are typically scheduled Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. We are able to offer training in the evenings and on weekends based on educator availability. Email us at info@regionallearningcentre.ca before completing your purchase if you require training to be scheduled outside of business hours.
