Introduction to Diabetes
This 3 hour course explores diabetes management at an introductory level.
Topics covered:
- The impact of diabetes on the individual, their family and workplace
- The physiological changes that occur with diabetes and complications
- The mental, physical, and social impact of living with diabetes
- How the community worker can support client’s self-management efforts (e.g. nutrition, blood sugar monitoring and use of medications)
- Health complications
This purchase includes:
- Access to virtual facilitator-led Introduction to Diabetes training for up to 200 staff (select the number of staff requiring training below)
- Set up custom training dates and times just for your staff
Training sessions are typically scheduled Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. We are able to offer training in the evenings and on weekends based on educator availability. Email us at info@regionallearningcentre.ca before completing your purchase if you require training to be scheduled outside of business hours.
